Office Engineer II
Description of Duties
Maintain organized and detailed construction files, project records and logs. Oversee and review daily field inspector reports. Track, document and manage project issues and conditions, including the management of the construction Request For Information (RFI) and submittal process. Provide and coordinate technical and administrative information to others working on a project to ensure that the work complies with all engineering standards, codes, specifications, and design instructions.
Essential Job Duties
Office Engineer:
1. Some knowledge and experience of Airport construction (desired).
2. Ability to report to several managers.
3. Available to work a modified schedule and overtime, as construction activities require.
4. Ability to provide attention to detail to detail to ensure tasks are completed thoroughly and correctly, strong written and verbal communication skills to produce reports, strong interpersonal skills to interact positively with all employees and contractors, assign tasks, accept instructions, suggest new process and policies, if required.
5. Flexibility to adjust to new tasks, if company or office needs change, may be called upon to take meeting minutes in meetings, assist Supervisors with the onboarding process for new hires.
6. Capable of working and have vast knowledge with Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, Pro-core, Prolog, VEO and other programs that are necessary to complete daily assignments.
7. Review of monthly progress payments review.
8. Possess the skillset to assist in training in-house employees and outside company staff with our Inspection process and protocols.
9. Excellent skills in document contract, documentation, and saving and monitor inspection request submitted by tenant/contractor when received on a daily basis.
10. Ability to create and manage inspection spreadsheets for several programs, extract safety and inspection data to create spreadsheets for inspectors managers use.
11. Ability to review employee’s timesheet for accuracy and ensure time charges are correct prior to Supervisor’s signature.
12. Experience with office machines (e.g. copiers, fax machines, printers).
13. Ability to order and pick-up office supplies.
Minimum Education Level
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or other related field
Minimum Years & Experience
10 years or more experience, preferably on airport projects
Professional Licenses & Certifications
"Licensed Engineer (preferably by CA Board of Engineers) is preferred
Optional Certifications may include AAAE, LEED, PMP, etc., and/or any other relevant Professional Licensure or Certification"
Salary dependent on education and experience. Salary range: $85K-$115K
